mmmmmmmm...........Greenstuff, Indeed. ?It's my new favorite "stuff" or it has been for the last year or so. ?It's the most forgiving material I've worked with. As for doing sisters, I don't think I'm ready for anything that specific. ?Right now I just managing to get the hang of doing a generic human form in 6mm. ?With figures that small ever bit of sculpting is a potential disaster waiting to happen

Hi Seeker, Great work as ever - you'r putting my first attempts at 28mm sculpting to shame! Perhaps I should learn to stick to the small stuff..... One questions which I've recently heard a lot about - Do you use a putty oven at all?

Thanks Tuff, I don't know, since I'm not sure what a putty oven is. I do however have a cobbled together device I use to speed up setting times on the greenstuff. I made a small wire screen rack that fits inside a metal can (it's a big tomato juice can.) I put the piece i'm doing on the rack, lower it into the can. I then put a desk lamp over the opening of the can. The lamp has a 60 watt appliance bulb in it. I can adjust the temp in the can by raising or lowering the light over the opening. It can speed up you set time a lot. I'm not sure how it would work with greenstuff on say a plastic piece, but for an all putty object it is fine. I normally use it on small pieces that are to be on the fig latter. If thats what a putty ove is then yes I do, if not then no I don't. Confused? Welcome to my world:p

LOL, yup - thats a putty oven! Traditionally they're a desk lamp fitted to a coffe Can, used to heat putty pieces & speed curing.
Are you going to try casting any of these or are they purely for your self enjoyment as one-off's?

I think putty oven is such a cute name - we should say things like that more often!

Woohoo, I made a putty oven and didn't even know it. My powers of intuitive intellect astonish even me. These figs are one offs for my own use. They are not really ideal for casting. Bad parting locations, small delicate undercut parts, ect.... I am thinking about doing some generic Blackmark Infantry troopers (Warkin Icon's boys) so I can cast them when ever I want to increase my detachment size. The very notion bring out a frankenstien streak in me.

There you go, My next task. Meng's Big Monster Project It'll be stupendious. Maybe I'll sponsor some sort of contest and give the monster away as a prize. Of course for an undertaking such as this I'll need some inspiration. So Mojarn have ya got a good pic of yourself, hehe

 | Yes, but if I sent it to you the mini would be on the list of prohibited weapons.

While the thought of creating prohibited weapons appeals to the more unsavory parts of my brain, the notion of destroying my sculpting tools in purifying ritual to remove the taint of your visage does not. ? But be warned one can never tell what may roll off the slab and I'm not responsible for the places my mind takes me.
