Thank the Emperor there are no Choppas in space!  Of course I again forgot my digital camera!

SM fleet with Battle Barge, Strike Cruiser, and 6 Nova Frigates.  Orks had a Kill Kroozer, Terror Ship, a mess of Onslaughts, Savages, and Rm Ships.

Orks had initiative but made the flaw of going first, this allowed me to be the first fleet to close into effective firing range.

A hard hitting ordnance round followed by a second wave of ordnance cripples the Orks badly.

Things get hairy when the Ram Ships are all shot down and then the Kill Kroozer tries to go for a ram!  The Barge maneuvers a turn and avoids the collision.

With most of the Ork escorts destroyed and the two Ork capital ships crippled, the remianing Grotz scatter to the solar winds.

From my experience, Marines just love to meet Orks.
Orks depend heavily on their escorts where as Thunderhawks eat escorts for breakfast/lunch/dinner.
And orks can normally fall back on boarding actions, but not so with marines.

It was my first game against Orks and gave me some more insight on future tactics for my own Ork fleet (which is still MIB).

PLM2212, bring it buddy, bring it!  LOL, you need to tell that tyrant you work for to let you have a day off every few months!

Good to see that someone posts BFG battlereports. Unfortunately it seems to reinforce my opinion about BFG: ork fleets are grossly unbalanced when compared with the imperial ones, unless you play them the unfluffy, munchkin way (like a all-ramship fleet or something like that)

As I said in the other battle report topic, thanks for posting it. Just a pitty the pictures are so blurry, as the whole fleets and scenery look awesome.
