I was just doing some CAV research over at Reaper Miniatures and saw that ReaperCon 2008 will be held in Denton, TX on May 15-18. Anyone going? |

Perhaps me. I need to check my schedule and see if I have to take care of Bella that weekend. |

Do they have recreational gaming also besides the tournaments? I doubt I will have a usable force painted by then but you never know! |

As long as they are assembled most folks there won't get up in arms about unpainted/primed forces. There are some tables in the front, but my experience has been that they are usually being occupied for demos, though if they aren't being used for that, the odd pick-up game is played. Most of the time folks are trying to get into the dungeon crawl for Warlord or the Canyon Crawl for CAV. They are time limited events which players earn "ReaperBucks" that are used in an auction for goodies on Sunday. If you find me, which shouldn't be hard to do, I'd be more than happy to play a few games. |

Are the miniatures provided for the dungeon and canyon crawls or do you bring your own? No word on the hotel yet from what I have seen at their website. Do they hold the event at their company location or at the hotel? |

Or being kicked out by Ed for complaining to loudly about new models for CAV, kitbashes don't count, not being produced since last spring. |

If they run them like they have for the last couple years the minis for the Crawls were provided. In the CAV Canyon Crawl you'll get a Dictator 60 and a Kahn or Puma against Psyros. It usually degenerates into who can screw the other guy most rather quickly. |
