Anyone have any inkling of what to expect from 3rd?

I can't believe it's been 6 years since the release of 2nd and I shouldn't be surprised, but I think I've played a whole 2 games and no tournaments. Now I got to go through this again...

Boo...

Wait what? Are you saying the Rulebook I just bought is going to be out of date? Huh?!?!?

Don't feel bad, I bought mine new about 6 months ago AND just recently some of the new books. Now obsolete starting in March...

Go check out the FOW front page AoC and see what they are doing. I'll give them credit, you'll at least be able to upgrade for free in March from your local retail store. As for me, I'm screwed with my purchase being online.

I had bought quite a few 1st ed and 2nd ed sourcebooks. I did have the 2nd ed quickstart rules but only got in one game. I have started trimming down my LW Germans but I still have a fair few MW/LW US figures.

I might well use the impetus of a new rulebook to get properly into FoW as a few people play it down my local club. It will make a nice alternative to the usual games of WFB.

Cheers

James

In addition, if you have the Hardback book, you can get a softback minirule book by showing them your hardback 2nd edition book. Just check with your local dealer.

I found that out the other night from my friend.

Called my FLGS and they said if I brought in my Hardback they give me a new softback. No questions ask about where I got it and my friend said if for some reason a store wouldn't trade you, you could call Battlefront and send it in to them for the exchange. I just got mine in a trade on B-Town a few months ago, lol. My FLGS said they be in sometime this week.
