Hi I am new to the wargaming world. I have decided to start playing Flames of War. I know I am playing as the Germans for starters and I am playing in late war. I sort of know how to make terrain although I haven't actually made any yet. I am getting the rulebook, das book, 2 source books and open fire for starters before I start getting mini's. Any suggestiong on what else I should get or anything else.

Get markers (hand made or official), template (same : hand made, official or Litko's), and 'smoke' (I use white/grey felt (?) pieces of tissue).
Then you'll be ready.

As a German player, you'll probably field some Nebelwerfers which use template and are able to fire smoke bombardment, so you'll find those things useful. And markers are just invaluable for a good game confort.
But first, get your first small force (600pts is a good start, then 1000pts and finally 1500 for Midwar or 1750 for Latewar).

Yes I will get some markers, templates and some fire smoke stuff. I am just starting to look into making my first little army. Any other things I should probably think about getting? I know only the basics at the moment.

Rulebook, briefings, gaming accessories, that's all.
You just need minis now (and stuff to make great infantry bases, and nice camo on German tanks).
