Hello, as the title suggests I'm interested in getting together an army of 25/28mm scale Roman soldiers.

It's not for me, but for my fiancee's son who is really in to the series about the Roman emperors which is currently running on the BBC.  I've noticed that it's really captured his imagination (he's been writing stories abuot Roman battles and the soldiers making their 'tortoise' formation with their shields), and I'm thinking of getting some for him for Christmas.

Of course, if I get to have a play with them, I won't mind  :;):

If anyone has any recommendations I'd be very grateful.

Thanks! :D

Well:
Wargames Foundry

The link I put up is for Imperial Rome at its height, but if you find the index of the WF page, there's earlier and later Roman armies too. And the models are gorgeous. I've bought some Wild West figures from them, and they've great miniatures and excellent service. They even sent me some free samples  :D  :D  :D
