Hi all,
Bacchus just delivered - 300 Spartans (well, a little over that) - and about the same amount of Persians.
And so a new project - project 300, of course - begins  :D
A most inauspicious time (the dragging end of the PhD), but that's the time I'm given, so I'll use it.

Oh - all very nice stuff, by the way. The armoured hoplites are grand, the Helots look just like Helots, and the Persians - Immortals and Spears - terrific.
And I also got  pair of elephants  :devil:
now where can i find a 6mm Rhino (no, not a space marine one  :p ).

Trust MBRat to find the snag I've encountered.....  :p
Oh well, the Persians already outnumber the 300 (I counted my models again), and I also got a pair of elephants (I admit I'm a sucker for elephants; and will gladly bend history to drag them in). And then there's the Command Horizon hover tanks....  :p
Seriously - I may not get 3000, but Mr. Bacchus will be happy to know I will probably be ordering more eleph - er, Persians.

With the movie comig out, I had a feeling it wouldn't be long before someone had a go at this... :)

So do Baccus do a Battle of Thermapolae (sp?) set with 300 Spartans and loads of Persians?  Or was this something you put together yourself?

Not a Thermopylae set - if it were, there would be more Persians. I knocked up an order which bacchus were kind enough to accept. I selected the Warmaster base option, instead of the DBA base option - and they catered for that too.
