This section was looking too lonely with nothing in it.
One christmas, I hit my own rainyday fund (not much in it, living by Seattle) and picked up both the Keltois and the Wolfen, one blister of nearly everything. Made my FLGS owner very happy.
The sequence of play is kinda odd, but WOW! nice models.
Anyone else play?

I've had the figures for a while now, but Ive only recently really started playing with the release of the third edition of the rules (I collect Wolfen and the rulebook came with a Limited Edition Wolfen ).
Ive not really played it enough to really comment much, but I like what I see so far. The combat is very detailed, as you have a number of dice for each participant (Normally 1+the number of enemies they face, but occasionally models get more, like Wolfen), and you allocate to attack and defence, and then the combat happens in 'exchanges' where each side smacks the other one. It flows better than it would seem, and does add an interesting element of skill in how you use your units in combat. Another nice feature that I like is that its sequentual activations, a bit like E:A, where you activate between one and three of your units (normally 1-3 figures I think), and then your opponent does the same. The twist is the order of units activated is picked at the start of the turn, by the order you put their cards in a stack. Not sure how this applies fully yet (Ive not played with enough figures), but it again adds a nice element of desicion making.
It is certainly a liitle different, and the sheer size of the Magic rules sections is a little intimidating, but its certainly good fun!

Damn, now you have got me interested in C3! I looked at Confrontation earlier, found the second edition rules are found them very basic and nothing special, so passed it by. Of course, Confrontation third edition still does not have the campaign rules, but when they come out I may look at it again.

Gorgeus models, I just need someone to explain the rules to me very slowly. I must be thick because I don't seem to get them. Maybe I just need to play against someone that has basic graps of rules. I know when I tried playing Warmachine the rules suddenly made a lot more sense once I had played a couple of warm-up games.
Cheers

For GOD's SAKE if you are curious about Confrontation BUY HYBRID! You'll get two really great games in one!
Your feeble attempts to prevent surrendering yourself to the Scorpions of Dirz will be in vain. You will be a Confrontation fan. . .
and I recommend you base them on the Warmachine bases. They look absolutely lovely.

I feel that I will need to buy Hybrid now... and then Confrontation when the campaign rules are released. There goes more money!

Actually, it was seeing a 13th Company Wolfen army using Confrontation Wolfen as the characters that first piqued my interest.

Yeah. ?I'm eyeing the Man-O-War guys for conversion into Landmates, but each one is going to be as much work (or more) as a True-scale plastic marine.
