What are people's opinion of the new game - after playing a few games I have to say I hate what they have done - IF (and a big IF) they brought out 9th Edition beside this (which I doubt), I would be happy but I really can't see myself playing this at all!! What on earth have they done? |

I have tried a demo of AoS, and have poured over the rules and warscrolls. I really like what I see. It's not perfect, but it's fun, and has a lot more tactical depth than what would be expected. I'm busy sifting through my bitz box for Dark Elf and Chaos parts in an attempt to get something playable. I haven't been this interested in miniature gaming for a few years. In fact, I might be willing to trade off a small bit of my epic/6mm stuff for WHFB/AoS stuff, since I never get to play that around here (no players for it whatsoever), and AoS is drawing more interest. |

I've read a bunch of things justifying this change to sell more stuff - and I can't help but say "I could have told you how to fix this and sell more models in 8th edition" =-P Older fans like me complain endlessly, it doesn't mean we're wrong or don't have any business sense! |

The entire group is about trolling people who are pissed about GW dumping fantasy, it's better to let that kind of stuff slide and not bring it up later when they calm down. If you're an oldskool SM/TL player, how did you feel when GW first released E40k and then later dumped the entire range? That guy who set fire to his entire army is something else though. Save that video. |
