Thanks for the fast reply – as you say i think i'd been mistakenly assuming the infantry were 3 bases deep front to back, but then seeing that the cav were 2 side by side.

I'd probably be looking at running units formed up of 3 epic strip bases if i used my 6mm fantasy with the rules, giving 40*36mm elements – close enough i recon ;D

Makes sense! The nice thing about 10mm Warmaster is that, as far as I can see, most units are models with at least 1 stand having a Standard. In Mayhem, Standards and Musicians are things you pay for, so using 2 of the 3 stands of a typical Warmaster unit is nice: do you have a standard? If yes, mix and match appropriately. If not, dont use it.

It works nicely, and yes, please give this game a try. It is a winner, and I think, like fine wine, it is only going to get better with time.

Speaking of my buddy, he just called, and we agreed to try Mayhem again soon, using Wheeling, Charge!, increased Range distance...but the question of points balance came up. You say some balancing will come with Stronghold. Do you know when that is coming out? We might artificially inflate our units' cost to get closer to where we think the CQ die should be, just to see...

I'll be releasing some STRONGHOLD material for people to try via the General's Compendium fairly soon. I will most likely put an alternate crown pricing scale in [along with some other fun stuff!] for people to test while we hammer out the final details and extended costs. There's some pretty cool stuff I'm looking forward to getting out! 8)
