2 Days to go before the big bash

Other people have been painting frantically; I chose to buy myself armies already painted - suckers! :)

Should be good. I will try and do a basic report with pics if I can be bothered.

So we finally played the game. 3000 points of Orcs vs 3000 points of Orcs+Tomb Kings

...Note how the right hand side did not move after the first turn due to failed LD tests

Yes, I spent a good 4 turns with failed LD tests and only rolling 2 dice (1 for eeach spell) each turn for the whole game as I keept failing to move anything.

On the last turn when combat found me, it was my turn with my opponent in a very bad position, and you guessed it, failed 3 LD tests in a row.

I spent 4 hours tonight looking at my mates playing a game of Warmaster while my miniatures watched the battle.

Argh! We will have another battle and I will see combat beyond one engagement dammit!

How many leaders and brigades did you have?

I had a Tomb King and two Liche Lords

I had 17 units and 4 Brigades I think

It did not matter. Rolling 9+ on Heroes and 10+ with Generals for the Tomb Kings is going to kill you no matter what.

I really needed the Crown of Command

Wow. That doesnt sound like fun! How representative of the rules system was that? Im discovering that smaller scales = much more attractive to me than 25/28/32mm used to be :)

Warmaster is a 10mm game.

It was representative of the rules - I did have bad luck rolling 9+ 3 times for 3 of the turns however.

Like one of my mates stated, if we were playing Epic, I would have killed it. Warmaster rewards lower rolls for activating however
