It kind of pisses me off that they are already re-doing the rulebook!  This stuff should have been plat tested and resolved prior to first printing.  Neil from Spartan has already commented that you don't need a new rulebook, the original is fine along with the FAQ.  
But still!  

I wish more people played in my area; people see it think it's cool but won't spend money on a non-GW game.  Damn lemmings.

Awesome free hand painting on those sails. Really neat looking models. At my club some people want to start this game as well. Considering the price for the ships is quite reasonable it seems a good investment. But what I read about the rules it seemed a bit too uncomplicated...

Not sure, I kinda like Trafalgar more than this fantasy approach.

It is a nice simple system, same mechanics for shooting, ramming, and to an extent boarding.

Which was as a matter of fact also one point for the people in my club to start this game. Figuring they had enough "complicated" games already.
