Saw these ships in the flesh for the first time yesterday and they are much larger than I assumed. Really nice models and I'm now really tempted.

Unbelievable, the spousal unit played a game of Uncharted Seas with me today!  She is not much for naval tactics and prefers ramming!

I played Dwarves and she had the Humans; I sunk one of her frigates at the onset of the game with a volley from a cruiser:


Tried turning her battleship into a fireship also!


A messy little ramming/boarding engagement:


One of my cruisers got pounded good with a double bridge hit!


The previous fire on the human battleship was extinguished so I lit it up again:


Her cruisers were the last vessels she had left.  She rammed two of my frigates sending them beneath the waves before my last two frigates and battleship won the game.  Two of my cruisers survived also.


She liked the game but it is still not her cup of tea as she is not a gamer.

Nice pics.  It is always nice when you sit down and game with the wife.

But you fialed to let her win, so I would be careful next time she makes dinner.    :oops:

Maybe she let me win, after all I am usually the master chef in our household.

It is definitely not our normal activity together; we usually role play and then we cannot post the pics. XXX   LOL :vD

I found some Unchrted Seas resources today on this Blog, which belong to Craig (from the d6 genertaion podcast)

Be sure to check out the pics too as he has some nice U/Seas terrain there.

No, 1/600 scale!  The Human battleship is 13cm in length.

So how do these rules stack up against other Fantasy naval rules such as GW's Man O War or Wessex's Strange Tydes?

I've never actually played MoW but have looked it over; this is probably the closes resemblance to US.  I have no idea about the other game.

US is 2mm game.

It has been a long time since I last played MoW, but I have to say that US is simpler and more fast paced game.
