Just curious, does anyone use any other backgrounds other then the GW or Netepic versions background to play their games in?
For example, I know some people who use Epic minis to play DSII and I know one person who has used their Epic to build an army for their Striker II games.
So I am curious, does anyone else use their minis for other then GW backgrounds?

I use my IG vehicles in OGRE ganmes too and also as the Japanese Defence Force defending Tokyo from...GODZILLA!
A few OGREs showed up once as Ordinatus proxies once, before I got hold of 6 of them - hehe. ?My Renegade Legion grav tanks are staple Eldar vehicles
Of course like M/Sim anything around 6mm in the cupboard is at risk of getting pulled into play. ?A few oddballs even showed up once as WW2 proxies!

If I gamed I'm sure several of my forces would be proxying WW2 minis too
To answer the original question, on some level don't we all? I mean I've taken the GW universe as a template but my forces' backgrounds etc actually come from several sources (a bit like GW themselves ) all blended in.....it's a large universe. I haven't used them in any other game universe per se but I'm quite sure parts of those games have entered MY GW 'place'

Hi!
I use them for my Heresy rules. Which, doesnt have much of a background since I want to make the rules more generic and less adherent to a specific background.

I think it seems like most people use the minis where they fit.
As for the background, I like the using what ever catches my fancy, so to say.
I have always liked the GZG background or Traveller background better.

Hi Dafrca,
I've been playing around with running the Traveller campaign out of the COACC book and using all kinds of aircraft minis including my Epic ones, GZG ones, modern microarmour ones and others...
I've used most of my minis in Traveller campaigns using Striker I and II.
Shalom, Maksim-Smelchak.

M/Sim - if you can hold of them, the old Renegade Legion fighter minis for "Interceptor" are awesome for this! ?I think CINC still do a couple of the range
I always liked that COACC campaign too, but sadly lost that book in one of my moves years ago - its an occupational hazard I'm afaraid. ?that and mini damage while moving ?
