I was just wondering who here was played Inquisotor the game and what commnets they had on it.
I was wondering if I could use my 40K figs in the game to do small unit level games.
Thanks

Best not to post 28mm on an Inquisitor forum, tends to get heated
I've played with both scales and used cm's in 28mm. The game is either a very detailed skirmish game or limited RPG depending on how the GM runs it.

It's a little challenging to use Inquisitor as a small-scale tactical game. You're better off playing Kill Team or Combat Patrol (in the back of the big 40k rulebook). Inquisitor is just a little too highly detailed, and there's no good way to balance the sides.

I'd agree. Inquisitor is more suited as a component of a long-running RPG than as a stand-alone game.

I've placed and run games of =][= in 28 and 54mm scale and I love it. I think it is the detail that does it for me, such as language.
I once ran a (28mm) cleanse of an underground base. Hunting stealers! We had 5 or 6 gunslinger type henchmen and an eldar ranger, who didn't understand gothic, but was willing to sit back with his long rifle and use the gun slingers as bait! It worked too.
Though I do agree with E&C the characters do seem to die in amusing ways, no matter wht you try to do.
My deaths include
1) Blown up by friendly fire after setting up soe explsove barrels under a tau snipers position. The "friend fired too soon and got me in the blast. Took down the building the tau was in, but the bluie survived with just a sprained ankle!
2) Jumped into a building! A had a high level warlock hiding on the third floor of a building. after mind controlling one of the warband and using him (and his heavy flamer) to set the rest on fire I accidently set my own building on fire so tried to jump to the next one.
I started the jump then looked up the rules. My character slammed into the second storie wall stunned himself then the remaining enemy casually put a few clips into him.
Finally Chain weapons always seem to hit the groin location. Much to everyones ammusement. The worst was a genestealers claw. Doing maximum damage, from behind!
So yes. =][= is a fun game, though it does suit a prolonged campaign more than one off skirmishes, and hive tyrants and lictors are overpowered in it.

I've had some entertaining self-inflicted casualties happen in my games. One that comes to mind was a henchman of a particularly evil inquisitor that just couldn't seem to stop getting more friendly fire hits (some even on himself, which takes skill) with his assault cannon. Another was a daring raid using a ground car which backfired as the car flipped over and set on fire...
Oh yeah... that original topic thingy... Inquisitor is a great game and more or less unique. Well worth giving a go, and yeah, you can play at 28mm just fine using cm instead of inches. But the game has so much more potential than just combat, so it is well worth doing properly rather than a glorified kill team...

My favourite has to be the awesome combined move I pulled off:
- A Deathwatch Marine barges out of a nearby building.
- Acting with unparalled skill, my Astrophath character passes a fear check, then manages to telepathically stun the highly resistant Marine!
- My Inquisitor is standing on the first floor of a building about 6 feet from the Marine (Quite low really too, 8 feet up, his feet are level with the Marine's head), so he preps his Power Sword and prepares to leap down and split the Marine's skull (Gaining even more attack power from the leap).
- My Inquisitor fails his leap test by 1.
- On a D100.
- He falls to the floor and knocks himself out.
- The Marine wakes up, shrugs off my Astropath's renewed psychic attacks and then calmly kicks my Inquisitor's head clean off.
- My brave Astropath runs up to the Marine and detonates his hand-held Super-Krak grenade right in the Marine's face***.
- The Marine is completly, 100%, unharmed.
- My Astropath is splattered all over the nearby landscape.
...............
The third member of my band later blew his own arms off in the same game while overcooking some grenades.
*** He's BLIND! You expected him to fight with a proper weapon?
