My first wargame and my first "6mm" minis, before I knew what scale was, was the classic game Battletech.
Recently I have been introducing members of my club the latest quick play version of the rules called Alpha Strike.
http://bg.battletech.com/?wpsc-product=5160-2I have been having lots of fun with the game. It is quick, it is easy, and allows you to play with all the toys. It was going so well I dared something I would
Never do in a standard game of Battletech; I brought a horde of Infantry and Vehicles.
Many ions ago, there was a method to my madness when I painted one of my Mech forces in the same colors as my favorite Space Marine chapter. In this way the GW Epic forces could provide the conventional forces for the Mech forces. It was either that reason or I really liked painting in Dark Angels green.

This past weekend there was a very strange Warp storm and two universes seemed to touch each other. The mechs of Clan Jade Falcon found themselves confronted by there Davion opponents and there new companions. I will have you know this as the first time the Marines had seen battle and they acquitted themselves very well.
The game was great and it went much better than I ever expected. In fact I have to paint in Clan infantry at the demand of the Clan players who felt I was being unfair.
I bring you a few shots of that game
We are the Clans what can stop us.

The Valley of Death.

From one genetically bred super soldier to another...

You have been weighed, You have been measured, and you have absolutely... Been found wanting.
