I was referred to this forum by FLGS Game Kastle in San Jose, CA.

I've produced a short rules expansion for Axis & Allies Miniatures called "The Creature That Ate Berlin" that enables one player to pit a custom-designed B movie-type giant monster against the other player's AAM army.

I'm looking for sci-fi AFV-type minis and human figures that I can kit bash to make some of the types of minis I need for the game such as "Mobile Field Laboratory" and "Experimental Device" as well as Martian Tripod-type units.

I'm looking for scales that would be compatible with AAM v1's N-scale AFVs, which are substantially smaller than the current true 15mm scale of the newer version of the game. I'm thinking that larger vehicles in 6mm or 10mm sci-fi lines might look good next to the N-scale AAMs.

Finally, I'm especially interested in minis that have a "retro" look, that is styling that would look good next to WWII era vehicles.

Any suggestions would be appreciated!

If you're looking for  N-scale, CAV from Reaper Miniatures and the plastic Mechwarrior collectible miniature game are both N-scale lines that include big stompy robots, tanks, aircraft, assorted vehicles, and infantry.

GFI Miniatures has some N-scale products that include infantry (for some reason listed with terrain pieces) and alien critters.

If you're looking for kitbashing, I'd look at the Mechwarrior stuff (you can find it on eBay).  Not only are the models cheap, but being soft plastic will cut easier.
