I'm sorry to say that I won't be ordering any of these. I know there's a high demand for good Necron proxies, and plastic models would certainly be a great asset, if for no other reason then just to show that it can be done.
With all due respect to DRM and John Bear Ross respectively but neither of these miniatures are better Necron proxies than the plastic Orks I've seen used. I think people are too easily persuaded by the label "Android", "Robot" etc, and a coat of silver paint to actually look at the models themselves! Both these and the DRM desigs could just as well be Space Marine proxies if you painted them in other colors. I still can't understand why people insisted they wanted "Androids" instead of skeletons with guns. GW cannot claim IP on human anatomy (though they might just be stupid enough to try) and if some colorblind wargamer paints his skeletons silver instead of bone color then that's could hardly be called a case of IP infringement.
I do however very much like the serpentine robots on the spure and I'm sure all the models will make a great looking army once painted. But Necron proxies: Not in my book
Personally I've been thinking of using Andrayada as Eldar proxies which always seemed much more logical rather than Necrons to me, but again each to their own
