Here they are:

The best part is they are being done by John Bear Ross. I've a big fan of his, having bought his 1/60 scale Dictator and Despot models that he did. They were sized up from the digital sculpts he did for them for Reaper's CAV game. They are very nice models.

So now begins the refinement phase. Please post your comments here, I'm going to forwarding this thread to Tony and WF and John, hopefully we can get what we need out of this, make everyone happy and not step on any IP toes.

I like the standard and heavy models a lot. The light infantry I think needs blades on its arms rather than the pistols. Something similar to those on the serpentine would work great, running from wrist to elbow.

The evolved is pretty good but I'd perfer a staff like weapon instead of a pistol. Something like the staff in this would be good in my mind:

I also think the lord would look good with the same weapon as well.

The ground support skimmer is great I think, two weapon options (one light, one heavy) would be best I think.

So all that's missing I guess is the repair skimmer, I was thinking something close to this guy:

Without the legs, and a cannon of some kind on the back.

The VTOL Skimmers are definitely cool, not sure we need them on this sprue though. Another Sprue with them on it would definitely be something I'd buy though.

I think they all look pretty cool and if these are what WGF produces (or something close) I will be ordering more than just the ten I preordered!!

I think they look pretty cool too. The main issue I have is with the calves on the standard deathbot looking too massive and the loss of the skeletal appearance on the heavy deathbot. I agree I'd prefer to see the advanced deathbot with a staff weapon of some kind and I'd also like to add I'd like to see arms on the serpentine deathbot.

Personally I find the skimmers somewhat odd compared to the styling of the other sketches. I think they look to modern aircraft like to match the others. Maybe a removal of the tailbooms and integration of the wings into the main body or something similar to the ground support skimmer?

Any way to ask for them to look more like Necrons without saying the N-word?

Wow, they look really good. Hail the Deathbots and Mr Ross the designer!

Agreed with your general comments Dave.

Light Deathbot - double blades or blades which also contain some sort of gun, instead of the pistols.
Standard Deathbot - great.
Heavy Deathbot - great.
Advanced Deathbot - staff with built in gun rather than the pistol.
Serpentine Deathbot - great.
Deathbot Lord - great.

Skimmers - great looking models, middle one reminds me of that thing out of Terminator 2.

@ Vaiish: I actually like the idea of them being a bit beefy rather than spindly - in 6mm things need to be a bit fatter for strength I think. Eg the early epic ranges were a bit weak, the later ones were better in that respect.

Mark, you misunderstand me, the problem isn't beefiness. It is that the the beefiness of the calves is much greater than the rest of the leg making it look mismatched. Proportionately, the calf of the standard deathbot is almost identical to the larger heavy deathbot which just looks awkward. The heavy deathbot can retain its beefiness and include a skeletal motif; right now it seems too much like the advanced deathbot stylistically.

I agree with all of this. If the renders look at least as good, I'll definitely be upping my pre-order.

I think they look great.  We definitely need a staff weapon on the Advanced or perhaps the Light Deathbot though.  Actually.....what Markconz said  :))

All looking good; aside from the other comments made above i can think of a few things i'd use these deathbots for.
I've been meaning to make a necron army for a while; and whilst these deathbots (as they stand) look almost nothing like i'd want some units in my army to i could easily add blades instead of pistol to the light deathbot, model on staff like weapons to the evolved deathbots and a cloak to the deathbot lord...and i'd defnitely cut off the top section from the serpentine deathbot and replace it with my own bladed version of the light deathbot.
Easy.
I I'm not too keen on the skimmers though and would have to see them in the flesh; i'd probab;y have to aquire some GW scarabs for this conversion.

That this actually seems to progress in the right direction is a dream come true.

I agree with all the comments above.

The skimmers look too Terminatorish for me. I would probably not use them for a >>forbidden word<< army in EA. They are very cool looking though.

Great work, I agree with the above comments especially getting more than just 10 sprues if they turn out this good.

They look very good, both for N and Terminators. I agree with Dave's comments now how
do we proceed to firm up our order?

Good to see some more progress on this.  Sketches look good so far.

I think the VTOLs could use some sturdier wings though.

I like the heavy lower legs, both stylistically and because it will make them sturdier for mounting or converting.  Overall, I think it could have more of a skeletal look, but I think a better way of conceiving of it would be to think of it as a segmented look.  The idea of segmentation could pull the stylistic look of the entire collection together nicely.  It would appear rib-like on the humanoid torsos and would follow through the Serpentine Deathbot.  It could even be incorporated into the skimmers.

Much of this has been said, but...

Light Deathbot - Agreed that it should have a bladed weapon, whether that's primarily a blade or a bayonetted pistol or whatever.

Heavy Deathbot - Agreed that the chestplate could be ridged to retain more skeletal/segmented look.

Evolved Deathbot - A glaive-like weapon, a la the staff weapons from Stargate, would be cool.  Like the Heavy, more of a nod to the ribs/segements in the torso would be nice.

Deathbot Lord - The arm with the gun is not quite right.

Skimmers - In general, I'd like to see more more of a vectored thrust system (multiple attitudinal vents) and less prop/turbine.  Alternately, hover/grav would work but I think the vectored thrust would be cooler.  I'd also like to see a more organic silhouette.  More organic could carry off a continuation of a segmented motif.
