A little less than two years go.  I commissioned jjpens of the Miniature Chop Shop to paint a full battletech Battalion.

http://theminichopshop/

This unit was done in honor of my wife.  Well that is story I used to convinced her to spend the money.  "See honey these minis aren't for me; these are your mechs.  Don't you deserve the best paint job on them"  :;):

She loves playing with the biggest, slowest, most heavily armed mechs.  With that in mind I built a Lyran battalion with as many of the classical Lyran designs as possible.  The keystone unit is known as the "Brute squad"  composed of some of the meanest mechs in the game.  The unit is lead by Major Tempelton.  The unit is called "Tempelton's Terrors"

So as promised a long time ago here is the full unit of Templeton's Terros togethor for the first time.

I also wanted to add my wife had a great deal of joy setting them up for thier group shot.  Laughing and giggling like an evil overlord at the power now under her command.

Enjoy.

Dude...

Your wife has a Mech battalion...

...that is so kewl. ?

They look absolutely fantastic.  And that Atlas looks like some sort of Space Marine Chaplain with that evil skull paint scheme - nice!

I just got the new rulebook and starter set on a whim too. ?I started with BT when Citytech came out but its been many years on the shelf now. ?I think my 7yr old son will think giant robot combat is aweseme. ?So you use our wife as an excuse, I'll use my son ?:) ...but I wont get a mech Battalion out of it!!! ?:D

BTW I've decided to go with a Kurita Company for me to start with, and Davion for my Son. ?Always hated those guys, so time to put the other shoes on! ? :glare:

Thanks for the replies guys,

Tas,

The new the starter box set with the plastic minis is a real bargin.  You get 24 mechs in that box.  Is that the one you got.

I'm a Davion fan, always have been, so I give a dirty look to your forth coming kurita force.  :;):

For great pictures and schme ideas check out.

Funny, my wife takes to laughing and giggling when I set up miniatures for a group shot, but for completely different reasons.  Congrats CC and missus CC!  Very nice.

Haha, yeah..... I know.

Luckily my daughter loves my hobby! Having her 3 year old version of bfg and painting her own spaceship.
