Looks like these guys aren't going to make it.

This is referring to the $1.00 down pre-orders that come after the initial no money down pre-orders reach 1000.

"Given how long this is taking, I think we'll have to implement some type of policy that if it doesn't hit 1000 by "x" date/time-frame then we would just put refund and put it back into the L&U queue."

They got 1598 no money down pre-orders and couldn't get 1000 people to pay $1.00?  

I know they didn't turn out to everyone's liking, but I think there's alot of potential there and they look a hell of a lot more like Necrons than anything else out there.

I'd also like to say a big "Thank you" to everyone who went from forum to forum talking $#!+ about Wargames Factory and this sprue.  Just because you didn't want them, or didn't think Wargames Factory could do it didn't mean you had to ruin it for those of us who did.

So, you have my heartfelt "appreciation" for everything you did to sabotage this effort.

It's much easier to get people interested if they don't have to pay for anything and as has been stated, the finished sculpts veered wildly off the original concept which put a lot of people off.

I think changing the concept hurt them.

They started out as '6mm robots, looking like robot skeletons with guns' and ended up as 'Deathbots', which whatever their own merits are largely their own creation and are clearly distinct from 'Robot skeletons with guns'.

800 money-down preorders sounds good enough to me... I wonder if this has more to do with their shifting focus to producing complete lines and this is just a handy excuse?

Still, I hope they go through with it. I know I'll buy some. Even with this news it seems a lot more likely to see the light of day than Varmis's little sketches.

I sent Tony an email asking if he would post an image of the re-sized sprue. They haven't done that yet and there may be people out there that haven't ordered it due to size complaints. We'll see.

I posted about this earlier though it didn't appear for some reason.

It's perfectly reasonable for them to put a time limit on this. If you remember, they did say that even 1000 sprues wouldn't actually cover their costs, but would give them enough of an indication that it was worth doing. In this case it's struggled so much that even if it does reach 1000 it's not going to sell much more than that so will never make money for them anyway.

I signed up for 10 sprues initially, but I dislike the designs so decided not to carry forward my order.
