Supposedly out sometime this year from Rackham it appears to have gone from a "giant robot game" down to a super-power armour style game.
Theme wise it really reminds me a heck of a lot of Paolo Parente's WWII setting 'Dust'.

The downside is that it still looks like it's going to be another prepainted and collectable game rather than a tradition mini game.
On the plus side though I think that the suits look like they might be pretty good for conversions.
Oh... and heres the concept art for the Russians in the game as well:

Now this one I can honestly say I like.

I saw this a while ago. Initial concepts looked really cool, much more 'Mecha' in design, and I think that one of the factions will remain like that.
I current 'eggs' just dont appeal to me right now. I will probably pick up these rules when more of the robot minis are released. There was a rumour that these were going to be pre-painted, but I think that this is not the case.

Hi!
Is there space for another mech game in the already crowded market?

Primarch | Sure, there is always space for a new game with new minis that will then go onto ebay at half price when the game fails because the person doing it did not read the market fast enough.
Oh and the fact these were said to be pre-painted would have been nice.

I actually dont think that there are enough Mech games out there. We have Battletech, which has llst a lot of followers recently but is ready for a come back. We have CAV, which has been due a second edition for a long time and first was not fully supported. Then we have DP9, where the background doesnt appeal to me. Those are the main three that I can think of... compare that to a genre such as space games.

There have been a couple more. but they have failed to do much. Ronin for example. Great concept, poor exicution, no long term support, thus dead game.
Anyway, back to my original question, what, if anything, happened with this? Does anyone know?

They have released a few more minis for it, and it seems to be a more 'powersuit' game in its evolution now. I have not heard anything further about the actual rules, though.

Thanks

I agree, the first is a nice image. Wonder if the flopped it or if the backwards HR means something.

Actually Dafrca it's Russian Cyrillic.
The first character that looks like the backwards R would be pronounced "yah" and the second one that looks like an h is pronounced along the lines of an English "n"... while my pronounciation is probably truly horrible I'd pronounce it something along the lines of "yawn" except with a soft a sound.
Haven't got a freaking clue what it means though... I would assume it *might* supposed to be a unit designation or something though.
What I really like about the appearance of infantry in AT-43 vs guardsmen in 40k is the AT-43 troopers actually look like they're carrying enough kit to do something other than go shopping at the mall.
