Rackham (France) are launching a new Sci-fi skirmish game called AT-43.
The minis look great !
Anyone got any info on this manufacturer.
Are they reliable?

There hasn't been a lot of talk on it here but I suggest TMP.
We're sci-fi wargamers, but the scale and pre painted stuff tends to less polpular here. ?Just my guess anyhow.
It's been buzzing over there for some time. Here are numerous subjects on it.

In case it's not mentioned in the other topics (I didn't really pay close attention, though): Rackham's Confrontation game, and it's spin-offs, are very popular with gamers who are disgruntled with WHFB. I'd say they're one of GW's chief competitors, though they're some way off toppling anyone from a throne, IMO.

Another thread talking about AT-43
This one's been creating a bit of a stink for a while now as the minis are prepainted. I'd be interested, but I don't particularly care for the human infantry. Don't why, but they don't appeal to me.

I've seen a store demo box (it's actually a pre-release of the Initiation box-set), and the pre-paint quality is certainly nice, on par with my tabletop quality work. The bases are completely bare, though. The Initiation box is supposed to run for somewhere in the $50-$75 US range (final price hasn't been told to the retailers yet), but it seems to be pretty good value for the money with 10 infantrymen and a Heavy for each side, plus a decent amount of terrain.
The rules for AT43 are much simpler than Confrontation, using the "Either you're hit bad enough to be hors d'combat, or you're fine" mechanism like GW uses. The starter rules seem to be really thin, only about 16 pages of actual rules, another 12 pages for scenarios in each of 5 languages. GW certainly did better with the 'Battle for ___' boxset rules, as did Battlefront with their 'skinny' 2nd edition book. If I can get one of the guys at the FLGS to play a demo with me, I'll report back with some better impressions.
