Salut ? tous,

epic_fr is the French speaking ML about Epic. It has been decided to launch a complete forum about the game and here it is :

Good to see that there is enough interest in Epic to start a new forum. Too bad I can't read French better.  :D

We've launched a (little) web campaign :

And you can check the "Mod?lisme" section where you'll find some pictures :

In addition, in the "Concours" section, you'll see the participations of our local painting competitions :

Bonne initiative, the forum is clean and easy to read, plenty of pictures too already!

But just curious, does the yahoo group still exist? and what about Warmania's epic section that seem to be pretty active, I guess my question is why the new forum?

(I totally welcome it by the way, but I am just curious to know, and I've been away from the pc for a little while so maybe I missed something)

Thanks,

The epic_fr ML still exists and even the Epic sections of Warmania and Warhammer Forum (two of the biggest French speaking forums ).
We've created the epic_fr forum for many reasons :

1- The ML format is less and less used, many people don't want to subscribe to this kind of media for many reasons (less easy to read for example)

2- The French speaking Epic community (not only the French one but also the Belgian one) is very active but quite scattered between the ML, Warmania and Warhammer Forum, we needed a true forum (not only a single section in a larger forum), so the creation of a new forum seemed to be the good answer.

With the forum, we do have a tool to gather the French speaking Epic players ?and to show to the rest of the French speaking community that Epic is not a dying game.

Voil?. :)

For the Apylos campaign :
http://epic-fr.niceboard.com/Campagne-d ... los-c6.htm

We use the Warmaster Ancient Armies system of campaign which is very flexible so everyone can play (once or for a lot of games). To participate, you only have to know the very simple campaign rules and to post a battle report. All this is in French but we can find some solutions to make non French speaking players to participate (we could translate the rules and these players could post simple battle reports we key words and pictures). Juste tell me if you are interested. ?:)

*cough* Babelfish *cough*

La difficult? est, j'apprends toujours seulement... ?:;): ?:D

*EDIT*That comment's going in my sig, Otterman.  I knew something you'd say was going to find it's way there sometime...

I've been reading through the campaign rules thanks to google translater - almost the universal translator but not quite!!

The important thing to remember is that dice roll translates as 'jet' which had me mighty confused for a a minute or two.

There's a few other words which are confusing but it looks like a great system overall!
