I am not sure how I missed this on the GS Fanatic Online Mag blog the first time around...

From today Fanatic Online will go from a weekly to a monthly publication. This is so we can increase the quality of our output and will also allow me to take on some more long-term Specialist Games projects that a weekly update currently prevents me from doing.

OK, so the Citadel Journal was cut, and we were given a magazine for each of the SG games. There were then cut and compiled into a single mag - similar to the Journal! Fanatic printed mag was then cut and we were given an online version, with the line that it would be staged at three articles a week rather than a dozen a month. Now, this is being cut to monthly... does this mean that there will be over ten articles each month?

As a taster to what?s coming we have three great articles this month.

That would be no, then.
:(

I know that there is now just Andy, and I dont blame him for this, but this is yet another cut in support from someone upstairs, forcing him to decide what needs to go in order to get other stuff done.

Oh great.

But first - nice work with ALL entries, Warmaster.

Like CS I couldn't blame Andy either.
But if they had so many Epic Titan entries (apart from Warmaster's), that's the big prize the community as a whole gets from GW? Oh huzzah.

What ?!? G/W-S/G not coming thru as promised ?!?!?!  Say it ain't so !!! Flashbacks to Epic Mag, and hard copy Fanatic ...  The future of 6mm Sci-fi is NOT G/W-F/W ... it's DRM, E/Wars and GZG ...

Darn it! Cybershadow, I believe we have to talk about Warp Rift and publication of it in a different way then happened in the past.

I have to admit, that I don't mind FOL being cut back (since I don't read it much anyway) if it gives Andy more time to hunt down epic moulds.

Is it becoming Exodus Wars Magazine? (Featuring only EW products, and telling us to buy lots of GIANTS?)

No, netepic, Markconz and primarch have staged a late night covert raid into the GW mold warehouse, liberating the thousands of released and unreleased Epic molds for underground production in a secret facility on the island of Malta.

You KNOW its true!  :p  :D

Why was I not informed (?!?) of this operation !? ?Was I part of some classified deception plan, like Patton at Normandy ?!  Setting up a diversion by continuing to post normally like nothing was going on ?!?

That is a great idea!

But seriously no, neither the EPICentre, nor Incoming! will be featuring EW or DRM. We feel that the EPICentre and it's EZine were created to support EPIC and it would be counter productive to feature other game systems.

We have tried featuring other game systems in the past and received a very luke warm response. Also because of my affiliation with both EW and the EPICentre, I don't want either sites to be marred with accusations of bias.

However, Incomings support of EPIC will not falter, it was published before Fanatic magazine, it was published after the weekly version fanatic online, it will continue to be published alongside the new monthly issue.

We do have something very special planned for Christmas, and very, very EPIC.

You don't have to feature DRM as a game system, you could cover them as someone who is suppliying the kind of 6mm sci-fi figures you need to play the game with.  Given the painfully slow rate GW are releasing things these days it would be good to have an article covering other figure suppliers.
