Anyone going?

I am going to check out the new Babylon 5 game, War without End from Mongoose. I think it is 10mm ground pounder game. Also hope to see demo of Babylon 5 "A Call to Arms" & pick up some new Babylon 5 Roleplaying 2nd edition books.

Simple Minatures are doing demos of Rackham's Ragnarok & Confrontation- maybe seeing someone else play Confrontation will help me get my head around the rules which so far have eluded me & my gaming buddies.

I will also be doing packhorse duty as a couple of my friends want some more of the figures-in-comfort carry cases and cant make it to Salute. Plus Alternative Armies release 2nd edition of Slaughterloo. And hopefully get to see some DRM in the flesh.

So without any "impulse" purchases I reckon I'll be fully laden come the end of the day. Thankfully not far to the car park!

Anyone else going? If so look forward to seeing you there!!

Cheers

James

Yes, a few of us are going (there is another thread somewhere, the DRM one, I think). Meet up at 1pm at the Wargames Warehouse stand. See you there (if the damn trains in this dumb country are only as dire as expected!).

OK. Just got back. A really good one this year, and the new venue is much better.

I spent way too much! I finally picked up a fair amount of DRM stuff (16 packs in total!). I will get this assembled as quickly as I can. I also got to meet up with Paul, Doug and James, and chat about DRM.

I also picked up Babylon 5 - Call to Arms. It looks interesting. I asked about the Babylon 5: War Without End, but this will be a few more weeks and was not quite ready for Salute.

Sounds good.

I had a good time at ConQuest Sac...

And will also be at:

I'm also tempted to buy some, but I'm waiting a bit for the growing pains to pass.

I'm also hoping that at some point, Doug, will decide to include me in his game.

Eric "Chern" and I have been playing it for awhile.

I'm also curious about this game and have a pretty good number of minis for it now.

Sorry guys, no pics. There was not a lot there to take pictures of. GW stopped showing previews a while ago. The demo games were pretty good, and there were some unreleased DRM stuff which looks really cool.

Maybe someone else took a few pictures? Anyone?

There was a preview of the game in one of the Mongoose Magazines... Issue #31 if I recall correctly.

Shabbat Shalom,

Hi Maksim. I had very little exposure to the game, besides what I had read here. However, I have a number of 6mm game rules already, and the recent discussion of Full Thrust made me want to branch out a little more. Call to Arms is expensive (which almost put me off completely!) and very similar to BFG, but it seems interesting. I will give it a read through.

I was disappointed that 'War Without End' was not available. Does anyone have links to information or reviews?

I like Full Thrust. It works and it's easy to add house rules to the mix to adjust to your own liking.

And there are a ton of FT variants out there... Star Wars, Battlestar Galactica, etc., etc.

ACTA is too expensive for my blood too. If it wasn't that my friend Eric bought it, I wouldn't be playing it. Having said that, the system is good. My biggest constructive criticism is that some of the factions are not fully balanced yet.

Me too.

I've bought some of the models with the idea that I can pit my GROPOS against my Star Wars against my MWDA minis.

Download Signs & Portents Magazine #31 Wargamer from the Mongoose site. It has a preview of the game.

And check out my friend. Eric's site:
