I see that Photobucket can interface with a numebr of online Blog type webpages:

has anybody got any recommendations? ?I dont want one covered in ads (some are inevitable though), generates spam or any other crud. ?Just something I can add a few notes to from time to time. Free is also mandatory!

Typepad is pretty good, but is not free...
Personally I don't like Blogger as you have to be a member of Blogger to make comments to other Blogger blogs, which I don't think encourages participation.
Livejournal looks okay though.

I like Blogger, but Live Journal works OK too.

This isnt the case anymore Jimbo - I had some comments left by "Anonymous" today. I know some Blogs dont allow that, but mine is set to accept them so it seems OK

Ah it must be the blogs I have visited didn't have this enabled, and I assumed that it wasn't possible otherwise.
