Hi folks,

Before I dive right into the newsletter proper, I do have a bit of info if any of you still want to do any Christmas shopping. Forge World CAN still get your order to you before Christmas. Orders to addresses outside of the UK do need to choose our UPS Express shipping option, but it is still possible. For more details please click here http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/xmasshipping.htm or give us a call on the phone.

Okay, what new models do we have for you today? How about the biggest nastiest looking piece of 40K artillery we have made so far? If you want a gun so large it barely fits onto the chassis of the vehicle carrying it, then our new Imperial Guard Bombard Heavy Siege Mortar is for you.
http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/bombard.htm
The mortar on the Bombard is so large it has to be mounted over the top of the tracks! The model features a crane to drop the massive shells into the sliding breech and a large recoil spade to stop the vehicle flipping over during firing.
Experimental rules for using the Bombard in games of 40K can be downloaded here
http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/downloads40k.htm, but I just want to say one thing.
Seven inch wide blast template!!

On to Battlefleet Gothic next. Forge World's Tau fleet receives some quite serious reinforcement with the release of two new capital ships. Firstly we have the Custodian. http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/custodian.htm The Custodian is a very large attack carrier and is practically covered in launch bays and turrets.
Measuring a good 4 inches across, the Custodian can also transport three Wardens docked in-between its upper and lower hulls.
Secondly we have the Tau Protector. http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/protector.htm
The Protector is one of the few true warship types in the Tau fleet with Protectors commonly forming the backbone of a Tau force during combat engagements in space.
Definitive rules for these two new BFG models have not yet been finalised but will appear next year as part of our next large book, "Imperial Armour Volume 3: The Taros Campaign". We hope to have experimental rules available to download soon.

Both new BFG Tau ships and the Imperial Guard Bombard are available to pre-order now from our online store
http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/acatalo....11.html and over the phone. The actual release date for all three models is January 17th and we shall start sending out pre-orders from that day onwards.

As a final piece of news for today, Forge World is very happy to announce that we will be at all four Games Days in the USA in 2005. We will start off with Games Day Atlanta on March 19th, then over to the west coast for Games Day Los Angeles on April 9th. We'll be heading back east for Games Day Baltimore on May 14th before setting off for Games Day Chicago on July 30th.
We're really looking forward to going to all the Games Days in the US and around the world in 2005 and meeting a whole lot more of you there. Forge World will of course be selling our models at each Games Day and you will be able to place reservation orders to collect on the day. Full details of how to do this will appear in newsletters next year and also on the Forge World website.

Thx,

Ewen Little,
Forge World.

Ohhh, finally some Gothic. And the fantastic Tau vessel that we have been waiting SO LONG FOR! Very cool! The protector is a bit 'Manta Ray', but not too bad.

Sighs - lovely stuff for the Tau - but getting an entire fleet would be a bit pricey.....

Yeah, I know - but that means I don't have a single Tau model in my Epic or BFG collections. :( :(

And I still can't believe the cost of a Warsphere! :(

Groovy Bombard. Nice to see something closer to the Epic mk 1 version. Now if only theyd make an epic scale version.
Those BFG ships rock. I like them so much better than the sg version (but of corse that still doesnt change the fact that Im a xenophobic Tau-hater :p :D

You know, like Dark Eldar, I've just never seen the Necrons as an Epic scale type army.  Sure small scale raids and incursions in 40K scale, but not masses ranks of evil robots dudes invading your planet.

Sorry for the heretical talk there primarch!:)

I can see a Necron army being very "The mummy returns" style.

Except the Monoliths kinda ruin it for me.
