Hiya - just some brief blurb about the EPICentres latest crack pot scheme. We are launching a banner exchange - it is an automated program dedicated to EPIC and EPIC only. A piece of code is placed on your webpage and when ever someone visits it two things happen. 1. One of our EPIC sites banners (but not your own) is displayed on your site in the location where you added the code. 2. A credit is added to your user account. This means that on another of our users websites your banner will be shown. Every time you show a banner, we show your banner. It works on a one for one basis and EPICentre banners get NO preferental treatment. One thing I will be up front about is that there are three accounts already set up, Incoming!, DeAynes and the EPICentre. I see these as seperate entities and don't think that having one banner as a catch all would be effective for the users. In the same was that Epic40k.co.uk and EPIComms might want seperate accounts. Anybody who is interested in signing up can pop to http://netepic.org/Banner/join.php to register - one thing you will need is a banner for the scheme that is 468 x 60 pixels, and is less than 10k. If you need more than one account - please let me know, the only stipulation we have for this scheme is that banners must be EPIC related and link to EPIC content. The scheme falls down if people don't bother clicking on banners because they keep being directed to 40k sites for example. To view your credits, then log on to http://netepic.org/Banner/member.php and it will tell you how many times you have shown other peoples banners - how many times you have been shown and how many page impressions we owe you. |

Please give me feedback on this idea  . Even if you are not a webmaster, let me know if you would find EPIC banners useful or if it is just a skanky gimic  .For an example of it in use, please log on to either: The Nexus or The" target="_blank">http://www.netepic.org[URL=http/....RL=....ICentre or The prototype new Incoming! website |

Why not do two? An EPIComms one for the forum and an Epic40k one for the main page. |
