Hello there!

Sunday was quite a busy day for all of us at Forge World as we put on our biggest ever show as part of Games Day UK. I do not know exactly how many people were there at the NIA in Birmingham but oh gosh, the place was certainly packed! It was good

On display on the Forge World Studio stand was Simon Egan?s unfinished Tyranid Hierophant Bio-Titan. We do have one or two shots of this huge monstrosity here, http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/hphant.htm and will have more for you very soon as the Hierophant is not very far from being ready to release!

Games Day UK was also the first place that you were able to see Will Hayes? splendid new Eldar Revenant Titan. We actually had two on display, Will?s own personal model and delivered our own example stunningly painted by George Dellapina, Warhammer World?s resident painter/model maker extraordinaire. Take a look at it here, http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/revp.htm

The big news for this issue of the Forge World Newsletter is our Free Christmas Shipping Offer. From October 4th until December 31st all mail orders of ?100 or more will be sent with FREE standard shipping. Similarly, mail orders of ?250 or more will be sent out with FREE Express Delivery! Of course you can still upgrade an order of between ?100-?249 to Express Delivery for just ?10.
If you place your order via the Internet at our online store, http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/acatalog/index.html, you just need to choose the correct shipping option for your order from the usual drop-down menu in the checkout. If this sounds a little confusing, don?t worry, we will check all orders and correct any mistakes to make sure you get the correct shipping for your order. Of course you can also place your order with us over the phone and still benefit from this offer.

Since I am talking about Christmas, it is now time to announce our last order dates. These dates are not recommended order dates. These are the absolute latest you can place an order to receive it one or two days before Christmas. If you want to place a mail order with Forge World for a Christmas present, PLEASE get it to us as soon as you can! None of us here like telling people they aren?t going to get their Christmas presents, so please do order as early as possible.
If you place a mail order for Christmas to be sent to the USA, Canada, Australia or anywhere else outside of Europe, we have to have received it by Monday November 29th.
If we are to ship to an address in Europe we need to have received it by December 6th and if we are shipping to a UK address then we need the order here by December 13th.
Remember that for only an additional ?10 we can upgrade your order to UPS Express for overseas deliveries and Special Delivery for UK deliveries. Orders of ?250 and over are automatically upgraded by us for free!

In response to a few requests, we have put together another Thunderhawk Transporter, this time carrying two Rhinos. Here you go folks, http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/thawktranport.htm (That?s the same type as the one I?ve ordered!)

And finally a little bit of show news. As you know, Forge World is going to be at Games Day Australia on October 24th http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/gdoz04.htm, but we shall be very busy throughout November as we have the Warhammer World Veterans Open Day on Sunday 7th to start with. The next weekend Forge World will be in Barcelona for Games Day Spain on the 14th and the weekend after that we shall be attending Scale Modelworld 2004 in Telford on November 20th and 21st. We shall have more details on what we shall be doing at these forthcoming shows in the next newsletter or so.

Speak to you all soon.
Thx,

Ewen Little.
Forge World.

Not sure I can agree. The Landing craft is what it is. It can carry Six Rhinos and 12 stands of troops. That means I can "drop in" whole formations. The FW craft would not work as well. I can not think of many formations that only need one Land Raider???

To me, the FW craft looks like a mini made to sell minis, not the kind of useful, functional design the T-Hawk or the Lander have.

Of course that is just opinion, and I know others will not agree. ?:D

Hi,

What you need is a landing craft with two tactical squads, two T/Hawk Transporters with two Dev squads and (at least) two T/Hawks with your assault squads. That's a mobile army. :)

Cheers,

Hi!

Since we know what FW seems to be planning for epic from the convention information, its not surprising not to see any epic for now.

In due time we'll get those things they promised. :;):

But for budget reasons I would rather get small amounts every month.  :D

But of course, I will have to wait and deal with what does come when it comes.  :;):

Hi!

True, a large release would be a burden on the wallet. Of course I dont think we'll see releases that number more then 3-4 new models at one go.

Hopefully we can keep up.

True, but if we are going to buy large numbers of each of those minis...    :;):

The THawk transporter model sure does look sweet, but I agree thats its battlefield role is somewhat dubious. ?

The SM Lander as it stands can already drop Rhino equipped troops directly from orbit, so the primary function of this transporter would either be in theatre redeloyment of the rhinos, or to land heavier equipment not deployable by the lander, such as Land Raiders. ?Either way, its role is very limited and a significant number would be required to make significant contributions in either case. ?In an age where tech ois being lost and the standrad stuff cant be reporoduced, its hard to see how a Chapter could keep specialised variants like this

That said, its still a sweet model.:D
