Well worth a watch: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cZc6cr6 ... e=youtu.be

Some very well done visuals and design. I'd like to watch the UHD version on my friend's 4k monitor sometime.

Though given it's taken him 6 years to make a 8 minute preview I wonder when/if we'll ever see the full film...

Hi!

I've wanted something like this for years! The gritty 40k universe is prime fodder for 3d stuff like this.

Too bad it will probably never see the light of day given GW lack of support.

Yes indeed. The quality is way better than the terrible GW Ultramarines movie of years ago.

This is unofficial and not for profit but GW have given it the go-ahead. One of the Black Library authors has been involved developing the story for it.

Hi!

I hope they can pull it off. I would certainly love to see the whole movie. :)

Nice to actually see something from them other some renders. I had pretty much written it off after all this time. Pretty well done.

Visually fantastic and as said better than the ultra marines movie which was a wasted effort, Typical GW, given the chance to get a much wider audiance they waste the money on a shit story line and pay stupid money for top actors to do the voice overs.

This just shows how it should of been done visually and the voice overs, This is why GW fails it does not embrace the massive amount of some of the die hard 40k fans that some of which have more talent in their little fingers than some of the over paid GW leaches that are killing it.

Imagine if they did a proper horus heresy movie, which would give the whole back ground story to 40k universe it would help them muster some sales for their product.

Knowing GW they would probably pull this video from youtube for stolen IP rights. !

Fantastic short film and great effort by the guys who made this, GW are not worthy to have these type of type of fans imo :tut

Stunning work a visual treat such grand architecture it really shows the true majesty of the 40k universe. These people need funding i'd love to see this finished.

Looks amazing. Not sure if script and characterisation is up to the same quality, but enjoyable none the less. Lets see if the new touchy-feely GW decide to let him go out and raise some proper funding to turn it into a full film...

I dont think we will ever see a full film (which will be a shame) as most of the people working on this have day jobs. Even if they raise the money to make a full film, how much will it cost them in licensing, I dont see them raising enough to pay for that AND be able to pay themselves so they can quit their jobs. Its taken him all this time to make one section, a full film would take a lifetime, especially with real jobs.

Still, In an awesome world, GW would open up a film studio, hire these chaps, and then milk it for all its worth.

I (like so many others) would lap up everything they put out.

I considered doing a Mechanicus-focused fanfilm once.
Wrote a script, got as far as making a few test renders.

I've got some Russ tank tests around somewhere too, and some much better test animations for the Warhound that I never uploaded as well.

Welcome back! Sorry for disturbing your recovery with my address problems! I only realised when John mentioned it after I had bothered you! :)

Lovely renders, shame GW isn't always so supportive of fan made stuff!

Glad too see you back!
