Help them get 6mm minis and they'll be willing to give Epic a try, especially now that the new game is believed to be years away (and Horus Heresy excitement is at a peak). Minis are the hurdle for potential players. Help them out.

Hi!

Three years is an eternity in the corporate world.

Given the steady sales volume decline, there may not be a GW as we know it in three years.

We'll see.

Lady Atia who is a good rumoursmith has hinted at something much earlier than 3 years, not sure what timeframe that would actually be, though...

It's the team who already worked on Betrayal at Calth and the Assassination Force game, so we can assume they now have some experience and clout in the hierarchy for this stuff.

Three years for Epic wouldn’t be shocking.

Some rumors point to Blood Bowl being first. It’d be a hit. Then maybe they release Battlefleet Gothic at around the same time as the upcoming video game. Necromunda can come out whenever 40k needs new terrain. Three years later, Epic comes out at the same time as Forge World’s Siege of Terra book (or before). 6mm knights sell for US$33 each.

It could also be a way of stopping GW self destructing. Sometimes companies can create another company, transfer everything over, make it autonomous and detonate the old company to clear bad debt. Certainly plenty of companies have done this before. Not saying this is their strategy, as I know nothing on their business side of things, just that it is sometimes used that way by companies to clear bad debt. but anyway, sidetracking.

Just wanted to throw out there that even with GW bringing back SG I am still very excited for onslaught and vanguard. I have been planning on buying from both. Hope they keep it up.

Same here. Vanguard and onslaught feed our 6mm addictions ;)

I am loving chopping them up at the moment and converting the minis ;)

The blood bowl sculpts look gorgeous! There were better pics somewhere, can't find them right now, showing concept sketches and how they fit together as plastic bits...

People were allegedly playing Warhammer Quest? Not sure if that meant the app on a display board, the original or a work-in-progress one following Betrayal at Calth.

I must admit that if they did true scale titans I would find it hard to resist.

I would be so up for an Adeptus Titanicus inspired game.

If it's based in the Heresy, it will mean there won't be heavily mutated Chaos titans, so the same sculpts could be used for both sides. But I'd like to see something vaguely asymmetrical in the force composition, maybe something like this;

Side A
Warlord Titan
2x Warhounds

Side B
2x Reaver
2x Warhounds

I am at the Horus Heresy Weekender.

In the "God Machines of the Mechanicum" session, Tony Cottrell said that they had done some "testing" and that when they go back to Epic, it will Tony Cottrell said that it would "probably" be rescaled, "probably" be titan versus titan and."probably" be set in the Horus Heresy.

Well, crap.

Best case, it means the Titans will be true-scale 6mm. But if the original game was a reaction to 6mm Battletech, and the new small-scale competition is 10mm Dropzone Commander, I can see them doing that. 10mm true-scale Titans would be pretty expensive...
