Holy Emperor Ashes, Inquisitor!!!

That is awesome! Some days I wish GW would just run it self into the ground so us Epic folk and these awesome CGI people can just do awesome stuff! Wish GW had him make a 40k movie!

That was much much better than I expected. WOW!

"Although he never played the tabletop game, he enjoyed reading novels about the W40k universe and fell in love with the whole atmosphere." -> this is probably one of the reasons he's so passionate about this project!

Looks fantastic!

It's great to see Lord Inquisitor is keeping himself busy now he's now posting on here or taking care of the Inquisition lists :)

Was it just me it was that grey knight strike cruiser crashing through the atmosphere?

Fantastic work with the video, I had been following the creation of the battle barge over on warseer here. The detail they've gone into is insane.

well unlike damnatus, this one may be viable as unless the creator is German (I just watched the video, didn't look at the site) GW could actually licence this or buy the IP and release it.....

it's certainly awesome enough that GW would consider if they could make something from it before setting a pack of rabid IP lawyers on them....

Gw could ignore it, or give him a license. Kinda like the agreement with what started as an unauthorized Blood Bowl game but later became official. Then GW would get a cut if it was sold. GW might have issue with anyone using or giving away IP that GW owns and sells to earn money.

GW wouldn't have to buy the IP, it is their IP already.

The narration and voice acting is pretty bad and needs work. The overall story and CGI graphics look pretty good. Hopefully they will get to finish it. Unfortuately, it seems if GW unofficially gives one group leeway people get to thinking the IP is Public Domain. And I don't know of any entertainment company that doesn't care about their properties.

if only space marine was a tenth as awesome as that looks it might have made the cinemas or the news or something...

I liked it and would love to see the full length version. But I'm guessing this will end up as Damnatus did ...

I'm not so sure.... As far as I understand it, Damnatus was problematic as the creator was German, and German copyright law states that the owner can never relinquish copyright, so if GW allowed it to be released, it would have set a legal precedent and GW could not allow that (even though they stated that they didn't want to stop it) if this project isn't from a copyright 'locked' country, then GW can step in and release it....
