The Wargames Factory Homepage looks pretty ominous.

Not of huge import for 6mm stuff, but an interesting train-wreck.

Flipping 'eck! What the deuce happened to them? A complete management change, orders missing and serious allegations made. Any idea what the allegations were?

From what has been posted on tmf it seams that WF had to sell a part of the company over to the plastic production company they were using. Now as they have control they are changing the management. It's a real mess. Forum is still online just not linked from their home page anymore.

Yeah... interestingly, the forum is still broadcasting "what's new on the WF forums" e-mails. One could say that it's life imitating art -- a corporate version of WF's zombies.

Probably the original principals have yet to be convinced to part with their forum admin passwords, etc, which is why the new owners are threatening legal action (against the previous owners, particularly) in response to defamatory statements on the forums.

To be blunt, the original crew didn't really cover themselves with glory over the whole 6mm death bot debacle.

Will the new guys be better? I doubt it but they may just kill it once and for all which at least would give everyone a final answer.

Or closure. Isn't that what we are all meant to seek? :)

True enough. Though, sadly, the imbroglio suggests further reasons for WF(old)'s propensity for distraction and ADD.

Just FWIW, the forums are at:

http://wargamesfactory.lefora.com/

The bright side is that I face smaller temptation to pursue 28mm scale instead of 6mm.

WHilst we're on the deathbot debacle has anyone had success claiming back any deposit that they put down for such a sprue?

Yep, some time ago. Tony did respond quickly to every request that I know of for refund of the deathbots, just wouldn't actually say what the hell was happening with them :(

Now, god knows how they will respond I'm afraid.
