In a completely unrelated to Epic thread, I thought I would entertain you with the other things that come up in my life.

http://photo.net/digital-camera-forum/00WLVN

While not working on Epic supplements, I have a job with FedEx where I am sometimes allowed to do some cool things like see the President and and Vice President's planes. Well, one picture taken of me and the Secret Service came up as semi-transparent. I never even noticed until a friend pointed it out, suggesting it looked photoshopped. So I took it to the 'experts' at photo.net and got some very interesting answers. Read for yourself!

(you also get some cool shots of Air Force Two).

PS I'm working on pricing for printing Epic:Siege cheaper if anyone is wondering what the delay is.

That's weird. I especially like the comment somebody made about the picture being taken on an NFL field. :D

You were obviously just caught in AF2's Shadow Field. Honestly Bill, as DE Champion/Font Nazi I would expect you to know these things...

Good to hear on Siege, will there be copies for sale at NEAT?

Siege and R2 will be ready by the NEAT event.

Very interesting, and very weird.

Reflection in the lens seems most likely to me, and the sun just happened to be at the right angle to continue the direction of the line. The flare off the engine seems to confirm this; the flare is almost parallel with the yellow line, a very slightly higher angle. The line across your legs is actually at a slightly higher angle than the line of the ground too.

I can only imagine it has to do with the reflective lines being bright enough the camera "inferred" they should continue, though I have no technical knowledge to back this up. The grey aircraft is a C-17 Globemaster III, BTW. Cool shot.

There is actually an easy solution, I saw this on TV.... Clearly, you have gone back in time, and somehow stopped your mother and father meeting up, so you are slowly being erased from the current timeline. The solution is to play guitar on stage, and you will be fine.

Glad I wasn't the only one thinking it...

You have to play this song, in fact.

That's me on vocals, Zombocom on lead guitar on the left.

"Follow me for the changes, and try to keep up"...

Crazy picture and even crazier responses - LoL :)

Seriously though, when you took the picture, did you partly depress the button to focus on the subject? As others have suggested, this may have introduced 'flare' from the line into the camera if left for a short while (well that's my totally unscientific guess anyway).

The mystery is history (oh dear God, did I just quote a Tigger and Poo cartoon?). Check out the thread link from the top. It is apparently caused by flare, camera lens scratches, and a whole bunch of mumbo jumbo I don't understand. The good news is that I have not disupted the time-space continuum and, as such, will not be forced to battle with 1940's bullies while riding a skate board. The bad news is that I will not be able to drive the time machine, not to mention the fact that I probably need a new camera.
