Hi all,
so I'm stranded in the UK until the volcano ash decides to call it a day - my flight home to Malta is tomorro, but I doubt we'll make it. Anyone else a member of the volcano club?
Sigh! >:(

I live in the UK, but I was thinking about taking a short trip to Turkey... nixed by a Volcano attack however!

Lets commiserate Van. I was due to leave on holiday on Monday - or better still have a game to pass the time. Where are you in the UK.

All a bit of a pain!

London, for the time being, with the wife.

Woe is us!

If you are in London, do come along to the Central London Wargames Club on Tuesday night in the "Cock tavern".

I or others (E&C, Pulsar, Zombo) would be delighted to give you a game of E:A to pass away the time.
PM us if you can come, it is 5min walk from Euston station (check the tube map).

I was wondering how you were getting on Mephiston - no chance of getting back up to Whistler is there?

To be honest I wish we had stayed there really! We've got a great rate at the hotel at the airport so if the dust settles (see, I can still pun!) we are in prime position to get home.

With the Insurance companies not helping its time to conserve as much cash as possiable.

Hi guys,
thanks for the invitation - I am hoping to get back home Monday, but things don;t look good, so I might just pop in.
Mephiston, that's the wisest thing - we've already shifted to a lower cost hotel, and might have to make a second change if this keeps up.

Well I was also hoping to fly out on Monday, so if our plans are messed up by the volcano, I will bring Eldar and Marines along - and I am sure the others can contribute other races. TRC, Alansa and Nick do Orks, E&C majors on all flavours of IG and AMTL, and the others do Dark Eldar, Black Templars, some Chaos forces etc. Do you have any preferred race or army?

That's a shame.
I'd have loved to try just about anything as I never get to play Epic.
But sadly I won't make it, we managed to get a Eurostar ticket, and we leave Tuesday morning; I should be in Italy by Wednesday morning - from then on, not yet planned! Either a flight from Rome or a train journey (and ferry) to Sicily and then another ferry back home.
Nice to go home, but pity I missed this. Thanks for the invitation guys, and raise a glass to that volcano.

Well, my body is back in the UK. Not entirely sure what time my mind thinks it is right now however!

Thats good news.... My favorite twitter post about the whole situation was this

"Iceland go bankrupt, then manage to set their island on fire. Insurance scam written all over it"
