I hope this is the right place to ask this. Just saw some alarming (or is it alarmist) news on the SG forum, about the possibility of SG lines being terminated as early as years end. Supposedly to alow GW to do special games releases each year(right ![]() |

Haven't heard about such a thing, but with GW's track record for mistreating Epic I wouldn't be too surprised. With the whole Apocalypse thing basically trying to do what Epic is designed to do (ie. combat on a larger scale than regular 40k) it never made much sense to have Epic as a competing product in their line. I just hope they give everyone a heads up so we can stock up on stuff before it dissapears (or *shock, horror* even a sale to clear out stock like they did back in 2002 (or was it 2003?)...alright... one can dream, but it was kind of neat to pick up infantry spures at £1.50 ![]() |

I've heard nothing ... but based on G/W's past ... it wouldn't surprise me ... But with the current companies (and some others) in the 6mm SF market ... Who needs G/W-S/G-F/W ... ![]() |

Talk about a way to make some serious cash out of a sell-off. Heck, Tyranid sprues alone you could be pulling down like 1000% profit on eBay. Shill out GW and retire in the Hamptons. ![]() On that angle, with eBay being the true SG mini supplier of choice, I don't see the "termination" of SG lines as a big event. |

Yeah, a heads up would be really niffty. Unlike another company I could mention..."cough" Forgeworld! "cough" |

It could happen but I'd take it with a pinch of salt for the moment, a lot of internet GW rumouring turns out to be nonsense. |

Thats a 2 month old thread based on what somebody allegedly heard at a Gamesday. No evidence, names or any supporting news to it. Probably just a staff member who doesn't even know what SG is talking rubbish - or somebody just stirring rumours on the net. |

My theory is GW is trying to drum up some extra cash flow. In light of the Forgeworld rush that ensued after it 'leaked' out they may shut the Epic lines down, Specialist Games may be 'leaking' similar information to hit their end of year sales marks. |

The last price rise killed it stone dead for me. 35 pounds for a Landing craft? Anyway I'm happy now I have found a supplier of Konami space 1999 Eagle transports. Excellent stuff! |

I would not credit GW or FW with such intelligence. The FW episode was caused by incompetence |
