I have been downloading WER since the BFG episode... I just have not got around to actually listening yet. Too many other podcasts - D6 Generation, This Week in Wargaming, 40K Radio, etc. |

Ha.. Very cool. We had a couple of games recently and he re-introduced me to BloodBowl. I've known these 2 (Luke and JJ) for a couple of years now and they are very good for the local gaming scene. I definately think that they have plans to cover Epic more and they've mentioned getting me on air in passing (as much for my LotR terrain aswell). I think that Mark_Logue would be better to talk about Epic than me but he lives several hundred KM's away... We'll see. I've downloaded the episode but haven't had a chance to listen to it yet. Maybe tonight. Cheers guys, Luke and JJ will be thrilled to hear of more people around the world listening to their rambles. I think they've done a great job so far! Steve. |

Wow, I can't believe Worlds End has cropped up on here. Its amazing how the internet makes our local gaming scene a global one. Would be good if you could get on and have a chat about Epic Onyx. The fan base has steadilly been on the rise in Australia as we seem to have an abundance of Ambasadors for epic on our local gaming forums. |

I started listening to this from the beginning last night. Good stuff, particularly episode 3 on Lord of the Rings. Onyx was mentioned there, too, but only as "Onyx from The Last Alliance" - doesn't Tactical Command get joint ownership? ![]() I'm looking forward to working my way up to the later episodes. |

Howdy, gents! It was great to see nice things written about the ole' D6G, so much so that I was coaxed out of my lurker status! Those who have begun to wade through Episode 24 will have already heard that I've been tempted off the primrose path by Epic, and actually got Raef to have a game a couple weeks ago! I'm still hooked, and looking to expand my old Horus Heresy era forces and whip up a bunch of 6mm terrain. Luke and JJ at World's End do a GREAT job with the SGs (And I'm not just saying that because of our unholy alliance to take over all gaming podcastdome), and I've been hoping they'd pick themselves up off the floor after their drubbing at the hands of Jeff and the rest of the foul-mouthed crew from Podhammer and take a stab at Epic! Currently I'm looking to expand my basic IG and Marine forces, but I've ordered a few boxes of Chaos as well, thinking I might as well get in a Chaos list and a Lost and the Damned list as well, since I can't play my 40K LatD list anymore . . . Any advice for a newbie getting in on the action after 20 odd years out? I got ambitious and tried to recruit some guys for a campaign that would escalate from a skirmish ruleset we came up with years ago, to 40K, and then on to Epic for the final battles. ALMOST got them, but the lack of local armies (Only having my IG and SM to fall back on)didn't help. So. What words of wisdom do you princeps, commanders, helots, etc etc etc etc have for a battered old warrior looking to scale down his model and scale up his battle? thanks in advance for any help you can offer. |

Hey there, and welcome. I am a bit confused about your question. Are you asking for suggestions on getting people into the game, on getting started yourself, or are you looking for tips with your IG/Chaos forces? Welcome to the 'true' wargaming path and the best scale for armies to be played! ![]() |

Hi Craig, glad you made it here and that you are enjoying EpicA. I was really happy when it was discussed on D6G. Have a browse around and ask as many questions as you like. |

Welcome indeed Craig. Just a little addition to World's End and Epic. JJ and I will be having another game very soon. He's dropped himself in the deep end and wants to play a Space Marine drop pod/air assault list. Nothing like starting with the easy stuff... There will definately be more Epic mentions on World's End sometime soon. ![]() |

tips with your IG/Chaos forces? I always hate IG's artillary (stupid sustained fire) and their mech infantry company.  Oh and Russ companies.  And Superheavy's.  And Commisar's.  Can't speak to Chaos, haven't had the pleasure yet. |

Thanks, Gents. Glad to be here. Onyx, I'll look forward to you guys talking E:A up at the End. CyberShadow, I'm basically just looking for people to talk at me about Epic. I've got some diabolical plans in the works to get some locals involved, but mainly I just like hearing you guys wax eloquent about your hobby. I'm bright eyed and bushy-tailed, here, and I'm all ears. As for specifics . . . what does your average Chaos force look like in E:A? Where are the models coming from, since GW really only has the Horde available at the moment? Does anyone play LatD? What would your average LatD look like? I hear you about the Guard. In our first game they WALKED all over the Marines, which obviously doesn't happen often in 40K. And that was just basic units. I can't imagine what happens when you've got an artillery company taking that +1 to hit order laying down a 10 BP beatdown. Doesn't seem like it would be that much fun. Cybershadow, you've already provided a wealth of links etc., and I'm wading through that now as well. Just SO MUCH STUFF!!!! Thanks again buys, and Happy Gaming! ~Craig |
