While I agree that it is good news for Australian players to have SG supported on the Online Store here, the prices are rediculous. It remains cheaper to buy from the US or the UK over buying from the Australian store. To highlight my point, in the Australian store a pack of Whirlwinds is $35AU, $20US, which equaists to $21.05AU. Then in the UK, $10GBP, which works out as $20.76AU. So where is the equality in this. I understand there are taxes on imports but there is no way that these taxes would equait to a $15.00AU mark up in order to balance the costings. GW Australia's markup on good is arround the 250% mark. If you have a friend and buy using staff prices they are still making a 100% profit on what you buy. It is very dissapointing to see that this has occured, and I will continue to buy from the US and Forge World over buying from GW Australia. Cheers Aaron |

Has anyone sent an email to GW NZ / OZ to explain that it's cheaper to order from the UK? |

Its significantly cheaper to buy even a single blister from the US including postage and miles cheaper if you are getting a couple of things. |

In Europe UK prices are also quite cheaper then local GW mailorder (by up to 20%). So I usually order from UK, even though I have to pay shipping fees than. I don't know, why they don't adjust the prices. |

as luck would have it I happened to query GW Aus/NZ about Epic the day before they started putting the stuff online, Greetings We will! Hopefully in the next week in fact. Just keep an eye on the online store for more information. Cheers Jason -----Original Message----- From: xxxx Sent: Saturday, 26 April 2008 6:09 PM To: HobbyService Subject: Epic Armageddon Hi Are you likely to stock the Epic range of 6mm figures anytime soon? If not do you know of any Australian or NZ retailers who do? thanks Games Workshop Oz Pty Ltd, 23 Liverpool Street, Ingleburn NSW 2565 Australia As others have noted it came as a nasty shock to see the prices - here's a comparison I posted in another forum, 4 x Space Marines from the UK = ?48.00 + ?8.00 p&p (per Kg) for ?56.00 in total which is $143.70 (confirmed this at the UK store). 4 x Space Marines from Aus = A$140 + a$8.00 p&p for A$148.00 in total which is $178.53. It's not worth $35 to get it delivered a bit quicker. This is the same reason why the US store can still be competitive with the UK one even though it has the highest postage (US$22). The same order of 4 Space Marine companies comes to $131.77 The differential is so great and the vulture/valkyrie prices just don't make any sense (why are 2 models $38 but 4 $25 ![]() I'll write them back to see what's going on. |

(CAL001 @ May 08 2008,13:47) QUOTE Has anyone asked them if they did stuff it up? Knowing GW, they'll just wait until *someone* makes a purchase at those prices and say, "See, people are willing to pay that much." and leave it... *laugh* |
