Wow!  My wife, being a good wife, bought me a new iPod Touch for Christmas (along with a holosight and a laser boresighter -- man, I love this woman!).  I'm using it right now, in fact, to type this post.  If you have never played with one of these things, they are hella cool!

That's all;  I just had to share my triumph with people who I knew would appreciate it!

Yes, what is a holosight and boresighter? They sound really cool! I want one just to tell people that I have one!

I got my wife an iPod touch as well. I have a previous version which goes with me everywhere, and the new Touch is pretty cool. I am still dubious about Apple software. They make great hardware, but their software leaves a lot of room for improvement and most Apple items are more expensive just for being Apple.

Still, the iPod Touch is really tactile and great to play with.

A laser boresighter is a device that allows you to sight in a rifle or pistol without actually firing any rounds: http://www.combathunting.com/product.cg ... duct=10607  You generally use it to get a good starting zero at about 100m, then you can fine-tune your zero with actual rounds.

A holosight is a sight for a gun that has an image of a targeting reticle displayed onto a lens;  you can then shoot with both eyes open, and so long as you have the rifle in the ready position, the sight will work accurately:  http://www.combathunting.com/product.cgi?group=10504&product=10628

Yeah, CS, I agree with you on the Apple software, and the fact that a lot of their products are far more expensive because of the Cult of Apple.  But this Touch is a real beauty!
