Perkele, ryss? hy?kk??!  :p

Great looking soviets.

Finnish lesson #1: the P -word is probably the most popular Finnish swear word; one of the many nicknames for the devil we have in our language. A loose translation of the sentence would be something like:"Goddamn it, the russkies are attacking!"

What have you done!! now I'm tempted to go look for my 6mm GHQ WW2 stuff again, with the enevitable requirement for more lurking in the background.
Very nice as usual Mr Tuff, be sure to get plenty of pics of them in action.

Hi all,

Its been another long break from updating the site, but its another mother-load of new pages with over 100 new files being uploaded this morning! From my News page:

Over 2 months..... I can't believe its been over 2 months since I last updated the content of this site! My apologies for such a long wait once more.

But that's no indication to say that things have been quiet here at the Mercenary Brush Studio(s) - Quite the opposite in fact!

I decided that I really should update the site & get slightly more on top of current content for the new year, so my Bank Holiday was spent fighting my brother-in-law for access to the Net so I could put a heap more pages together for you. We have a complete new army on show from Esrik, Warhammer & Warhammer 40K sections for Ross (with much more on the way!) & just a small HEAP of stuff from myself. So, if you're into Warhammer, Epic, 40K, Flames of War, Ultramoderns, Hasslefree, Ancients or blood bowl - we have something for you to feast your eyes on!
So much in fact, that I've split it into update listings for each of our 3 painters for ease of Reference!

From Esrik:

New 40K Khorne army in Esrik's galleries
Finally have prices up in his E:A IG gallery.

From Ross:

New Warhammer section in Ross' Galleries containing: Shaggoth, Archaon, "boris", lord of Slaanesh, Brettonnian knights & Belakor. ?
New 40K section in Ross' Galleries , containing: 13th Company, Iron warrior, IG Kill team & a load of witch hunters. ?

From Paul "TuffSkull" T.:

Ultramodern Delta Force miniatures from TAG added to 28mm misc. section. ?
Flames of War Soviets updated - Many new units adde - big update! ?
Blood bowl Misc. section has pre-release photos of the Dark Elf poison Blades as seen in Fanatic Mag 7. ?
My First Grymn has been added to the Hasslefree Gallery. ?
IG Command stand added to the E:A Misc. & Display Gallery. ?
New Lizardman army added to the warmaster section. ?
Making Logan MKII article is up in the articles section.

Oooohh!!! Lovely stuff as allways Tuff!

I especially like thoose Flames of War russians. Exactly how big are those infantry? If they're still 6mm scale the detail is astounding!
The infantry riding on the tanks are particularly cool as well ...I wonder if those could be adopted for an E:A IG army...

Cheers! :)

Hi all,

Another month, another update. Its not meant to work like that - someday soon I'll get back to lots more updates I promise :D

In amongst the Hordes thistime around I've uploaded no fewer than 3 new epic galleries.

From Esrik, a New IG army full of conversions & neat details - he's already advanced a long way in his skills in 6mm since he moved stateside!

From Myself we have yet another commissioned IG army, this one from autumn last year, and also my fastest ever army - the Marines I used to playtest E:A ?- have been put up onthe site before I sell them on ebay. They served me well & I was photographing them anyway so up they went.

Much more beside as usual. All can be found from the NEWS page :)

Nice pics as usual Tuff.
Shame you did n't have any more pics of the tanks that you painted for the commisioned IG Army#5- that looked an interesting camo scheme. Was it based on a real life historical one?

Good to see work is progressing on your Epic Space Wolves- liked the idea of using Leman Russ "counts as" Landraiders, at least until they do full Space Wolves list.

On a non-epic related note, that WFB Brettonian looks stunning!! Great choice of colour scheme- a couple of years back i had started painting some Brettonians in blue & white livery- just seems to fit them well. Unlike yourself I only got as far as painting some archers- had n't got around to the knights. Liked the idea of heraldry on Knights Errant- i was intending to do something similar. However my favourite units in the gallery were the sorceresses and battle pilgrims- great looking models really nicely painted.

Cheers

James
