Quote (nealhunt @ 06 May 2006 (12:59)) | Honestly, I've gotten the feeling several times from Andy that he is less than enthusiastic about Epic. ?Maybe he's just overworked, but it seems that he puts Epic as a low priority.
I suspect he's just borderline clueless. | Hi!
You mean Andy tells you Jervis puts epic in low priority?
Doesnt Andy not work for GW anymore?
Does he still talk to Jervis?

I like to think of this board as part of that life support.

Quote (Hena @ 06 May 2006 (22:17)) | Hmpf, as long as GW produces minis and accepts things into vault, it's cool. As minis are needed for new players and vault is needed to give some more acceptance to lists. | As long as GW produces minis we will buy them and use them. When they don't we will find other ways to help new players build armies. Would not be the first army basic set I gave away.

Primarch | I believe the Andy in question is Andy Hall, not Andy Chambers (who does not work for GW anymore, as you say).

Well don't bet the farm on G/W Epic ... The only reason IMO, that we're seeing F/W Epic releases (T-Hawk & Arvus), is for their forthcoming Epic scale but not Epic rules, Air War Game ...

Hm. Once again dire portents. Is this the end of Epic? My guess is: yes. And no.
Yes in the sense there will be no more new mini releases other than from Forge World.
No in the sense that, to keep what little business they have, the forums & lists are kept in an undead state. Otherwise people would, God forbid, buy _DRM_ minis instead of GW minis. Or at least that's what they think.
Me, I think the most dire portent so far is the return of JJ's regular column in the GW product brochure (i.e. WD).
