Not sure what to make of this.
How's the Apocalypse-effect going? Sales have been good but does anyone know the expected sales figures and if these have been met?

I noticed this on WarSeer.

Given how things have been going lately, I'm guessing change is good. However, the pessimist in me says it doesn't really matter.

If we all think positive and sing a long during Christmas it may be a positive change. :)

We'll be like the Whos down in Whosville who don't have two Christmas bulbs to knock together but we're happy because we're with each other.  Awwww - everybody join hands!

Recent head of US sales, credited with turning their US operation from loss to profit over the last year.

Hi!

When I see there 3-4 year gross sales and profit recover too 2004 levels, then I'll believe the change is for the better.

I believe, regardless of the G/W CEO, primary support of Epic will come from DRM and E/W ... :glare:

Kirby has sucked. Kirby says they "share the same vision for Games Workshop" so I bet that that new guy sucks too. I may be wrong, but I am not. :)

Epic will not get new minis regardless of who sits in the CEO chair. :glare:

Is he a gamer?

:D ?He is always a gamer. GW would never appoint anyone and then tell people that he doesnt play the product. My guess is that he had a two week intensive course, and painted a Marine.

There is a certain scepticism regarding this. Firstly, Kirby is still 'in the office' and is chairman. Secondly, GW's interim financial report is due out very shortly (today?). Finally, GW have seriously pushed to improve this report recently - large splash releases, Apocalpse, cutting 'the fat' of bits orders, etc.

The general opinion is that they are trying to boost confidence in the investers, by inflating the interim report. How long they can keep it up is another matter. I suspect that Kirby will still have a hand on the rudder of GW and that we wont see any noticable change in the near future.

Unfortunately, if these measures work - and I suspect that they will - it will just be more 'evidence' that SG are excess to requirements.
