Mosc, as much as I would love to, I simply don't have the time to organize one. However, as Dave mentioned, perhaps we could talk to the powers that be at The Time Machine (which is where he and I usually meet) to see how they would feel about it. The gaming room in The Time Machine could easily handle about a dozen participants.

I really like the idea of doing something to promote Epic, especially if it could occur on the same weekend as the National Championship.

Have them charge $10-15 per head.  That is a totally acceptable cost and for an independent game store owner it would be a welcome chunk of change I would think.  Of course we need to get the people.  The four of us already mentioned, Scarik if he's up for it, Suvarov would probably show...  We'd need at least 8 people but I think it with some email postings on the various forums it would be achievable.  

But I still want to go to Memphis... :)

As a side comment,  I'm in the Chicago area and a very frequent visitor to the Chicago Bunker and back when the specialist games "championships" were discussed,  Allen,  the manage of the bunker mentioned that the Chicago Bunker in addition to the Chaos Cup for Blood Bowl that they already hold every year, they also got the Warmaster Championships so we'll be running that at some point.  I should ask Allen about that sometime soon.

No Chicago or Memphis trip for me.  The plane ticket prices made it cost prohibitive ($260 round trip plus lodging).  I'd rather pump that money into hosting my own tournament (and buying another Epic army on top of that).
