Sorry to repost this, but I wnted to make sure Cybershadow saw it.

Well CS, it happened to me. The system would not let me edit a message I posted.

It said:
Sorry, you do not have permission to edit that message

You are currently logged in as dafrca

After that I tried about 6 to 8 of my posts and received the same message. Logged off and re-logged in. Still same.

Turned off computer and restarted and still the same.

Sorry to be a pain.

In playing with it, it seems to allow me to edit until someone else posts after me. Then I am not allowed.

Do not know if this helps or not.

As I posted in the other thread, in a subforum where you are a moderator you can edit everything, including very old ones.

Edit: So it is either a function of a limited time or once someone else posts after you .

It is possible that this is a global change in the board structure and function, since all the setup boxes are ticked to allow members to edit their own posts. I would guess that the higher level rules have been changed to only allow editing until a reply has been posted. I will check it out.

It's making life rather difficult.  

I have run into several situations where no one has posted after me and it would not let me edit even trying immediately after I posted the message.

Seems to be working no matter where I have tested. I think this is a dead issue now!  :D
