This has been a long term goal of mine - to move this site and these boards to something more 'general wargaming' rather than game specific. So, I thought that I would get some initial ideas from you guys about it. Specific questions: 1. These boards are now split into three sections. The next phase of this 're-branding' is to change the main board title. Any suggestions would be welcomed, and bear in mind that the sections are '-comms' and the web site will be the 'Tactical Wargames Network'. 2. Colours. We could go either of two ways on the new colour scheme. If we go for a light colour scheme, it will look cleaner and brighter, and be potentially easier to read. As a disadvantage, it would mean that these boards would need a rework in some cases, and I want the site to be distinctive. If we go for a darker colour scheme, it could appear dull and too gothic. Any suggestions on colours, styles or other web sites out there that look good? Thanks. |

TWN www.twn.net or www.tw.net twnComms I quite like the grey gothic look. Maybe add some gothicness to the theme. |

For the basic board structure here is my initial thoughts Gallery - It's always about the pics ![]() Rules - Discussion of specific rule sets or eras Terrian - All things tree and rubble related After Action Reports - There I was...inverted Misc Wargame - Did here Unrealted - Most people have names like the bar, the lounge, whatever, it is it's not taking baout dice or minis |

Perhaps I should clarify a little. These boards have already been re-structured. The changes on these boards occurred as a result of future changes and the web site moving. The structure is unlikely to change, and the only real effect of the web site moving would be a new colour scheme (an addition to the existing two, not a replacement). Tactical Command has a nice sound to it, but I am open to futher suggestions. Does anyone have examples of web site colours, designs and layout that they find really good or really bad? |

Modeling wise would it be better to have everything together? Likewise trades? Such things tend to benifit from cross fertilisation! |

Nope. These boards would simply change address (and even then I would add a link to the new location). I would then simply backup the boards, and re-install them in the new location. All accounts and details would be retained (see, I care!). |
