What is the criteria for a thread to be pinned?
Just curious.

Pretty much. ? If anyone wants a thread pinned, then just ask. My own rule of thumb is if the thread contains information which is particularly informative. Every now and again, I go through and make archive copies of the pinned threads. These are compiled together, and it stops the boards getting overrun with pinned threads. (I guess that I should do this again soon.) So, if a thread is pinned, there is a good chance that it will be archived and saved for all time, which in turn indicates that it covers a topic which may come up several times, along the lines of the FAQs for these boards. Does that clarify my foggy thought process? ?
