Guys,

I'm 100% behind this request as well. I like the banter and friendly atmosphere here, but a lot of the "in jokes" probably dissuade new members from joining our community rather than encourage them.

I admire you for stepping in here CS.

I have pondered the situation myself and agree that we may be dissuading new members from participating.

I'd hate to see this forum getting a reputation like RGMW where the "regs" rule the roost and overrun every thread. We have a great bunch of people here; we just need to make sure everyone else realises that and doesn't think it's a complete nut house! ?:D ?:-:

Well I thought this thread would die out and I would simply comply, but that being said, I started the "joke" so I am the main "perp".  I will cease and desist the tag line, as I will respect the rules of the moderators and as it is C/S's site and I am only a guest.  And it is really not that big a deal to me.  I realize I do post a lot (too much actually) and I only really got involved in G/W online to find out info about the new game and models and to sell my extra stuff. :;):  I had no intentions of spending so much time talking about gaming, modeling, history, soldiering, etc., etc. ... as I do.  I will attempt to limit my comments to Epic related topics.   And be concise and specific.  Contrition complete ... let's move on ...

You're not the only "perp" although I don't think we need to use that word. I think Primarch might even be put off at not being called the main "perp"... :)

I, speaking as an individual, don't mind the tag line, just that I'd prefer it be kept in the general area where just about anything goes. It would be nice to keep the gaming areas with more "on-topic" conversation and less "in jokes."

And it is really not that big a deal to me.

It doesn't stress me either although when brought up, I shared my opinion.

I probably am just a guilty since I love the community and boards here. I'm no Primarch, the admiral, but I ALSO have a hefty post count.

I will attempt to limit my comments to Epic related topics. And be concise and specific.

I don't think you need to do that, but let's keep the "in jokes" mostly on the general boards and the Epic talk mostly on the gaming boards.

Does that sounds reasonable?

I may be a moderator (and the uber-moderator at that), but I'd rather not ever push something through and would rather discuss it as a group and form a concensus. To date, I have never taken unilateral action (meaning taken action purely of my own design rather than by CS's charter) and have always consulted CS and the other moderators to the extent possible.

I have yet to delete a "indeed" post and don't intend to do so.

Contrition complete ... let's move on ...

OK. Back to "happy, less serious mode!" ?:D

I respect you 100% and I also think you should "say your say" so you don't feel like your words are ignored. I'd be interested in hearing your opinions on this issue.

Please share them if you will (without using colorful nautical language if you get my drift... :D ).

Originally I had posted a really sarcastic remark about the proposal, but I opted to try and just smile. I don't even understand the joke behind 'Indeed', but like other comments I don't have a lot of interest in, I breeze by it.

The way I see it, you can have posts that are too short, and posts that are too long (like mine probably), very insightful, not very insightful, but I leave it up to the reader if it is worth their time to read them. I love nothing more than listening to people 'complain' about their time being wasted reading something. Get over it and move on.

The fact of the matter is, these posts reflect our personalities. I hate censorship, and notice that Maksim even edited my two sentence thread for what reason?!?!?! I find that more annoying that someone posting 'Indeed'. I don't care if somesone thinks my grammar sucks, I really really don't. But if it is being done to impress visitors, you just go ahead and write for me whatever you think is going to impress people for me.

But whatever, your message boards. Truthfully, I find it annoying that I while I know you guys pretty well, we are limited to only really discussing Epic, BFG, and etc. Lets be honest, there is only so much to say about these games and having a political comment come up or file sharing thread really isn't a bad thing. It might even expand your minds, piss people off, or whatever. It isn't a bad thing. But since this is posted in the Epic A rulebook I guess we have a responsibility to the Epic community that when they come here it only enhances their Epic experience. I am already finding myself posting on other boards because I can talk about a wide ranging list of topics versus always talking about games here. Hell, I can quote many of you before you post your reply. But then again, this is an Epic board and I should know better.

Hey, what do you guys think about using those new Warmaster Greater Deamons for Epic A?  :laugh:   :o   :D   :-:

BTW, I talked a seller on Ebay to stop an auction early and sell me more of those mini Epic Daemons I love. Excellent.
