Just a quick note to say thanks to those who emailed me about the full disk error which is popping up at regular times of the day. I have not encountered this, and so you guys are keeping me up to date. I have attempted to sort this out, by adding more web space to the server account (these forums grow and shrink as people log in, view and post, and while there is still a fair bit of disk space available, at heavy times we seem to run out). However, the server people are dragging their heels about this and have not updated the account yet. I have emailed them, and I am on the case. This should be cleared up very shortly. Thanks for your patience and my appologies for the problems. |

Thanks guys.  I know how important it can be to simply be able to rely on a place like this being there when it is 'needed'. I am always happy to hear comments about how to improve it. |

It happened again, last night at about 23:30 hrs, my time. I tried again about 30-40 mins. later and got in no problem ... Gremlins or Ghosts in the Machine  ??!

I still get these errors regularly in the evening. I've isolated them to around 8:00pm to 1:00am PAcific Coast USA time. After or before those hours, the board seems fine. Maybe they do maintenance at those hours? Shalom, Maksim-Smelchak. |

Hi! Thats a good thought, Maksim, although why they would do daily maintenance, unless they are doing some major work for a couple of days and then it will all go back to normal. I guess Cybershadow can ask his ISP to tell him if that is the case. Primarch. |

I think that this is a problem of the forum expanding. As this place gets busy, it generates traffic on the server and causes various threads to be generated, logins to be remembered and so on. This uses space on the server. These things are deleted as people log out. I think that we are running out of disk space, and this is causing the problem at busy times, etc. I have arranged to get a load more space added, but my account has not been credited yet. I am in email discussion with the tech guys who should be able to sort this out soon. |
