Eyup, google has just flagged to me that my old password for this site, ( which looks like I sneezed on a keybaord) has been found exposed in a databreach somewhere.

Presumably more of an issue for anyone here who reuses passwords.

also, hello! it's been a time!

This is new to me, and something I take very seriously.
If anyone else has experienced issues along the same lines, please do let me know asap!

Thank you.

Those alerts are not about a specific site being haxx0rs but you using a password at a site that's stored by google profile and security researchers have found that credential pair in a data dump. As many people don't leverage strong unique passwords at each site and they get reused often, it's not a rare thing unless you take care.

The implication I took from madd0ct0r's post is that their password wasn't reused, thus that credential pair must have come from this site.

CS, mine hasn't been flagged interestingly, though I did change it relatively recently.

I don't doubt the report at all, but it's possible that passwords are reused or even notices like this are false. If there are multiple cases of this then it's clearly something to be taken very seriously. With one or few cases, there are a number of factors that could be the root of it.

To reiterate, this site never sells your information. I am a lone individual running this and even I cannot see your passwords in the database as they are encrypted. I do appreciate any and all information and reports like this. Thanks.
